Theology Acronyms

1. Cognitive
a.(ATGT)- Related to Knowing, thence to what is true or False

2. Deduction
a.(ATGT)- A form of reasoning that infers conclusions from premises, as e.g. in a geometrical proof.

3. Empirical-
a.(ATGT)- dependent on experience, such as sense observations


4. Epistemology
a.(ATGT)- A brand of philosophy concerned with concepts such as knowledge, belief, truth, and with the justification of true beliefs

5. Induction
a.(ATGT)- a form of reasoning that draws generalizations and predictions forms  of valid reasoning

6. Logic
a. (ATGT)- a branch of philosophy that treats the canons and forms of valid reasoning

7. Metaphisics
a.(ATGT)- a branch of philosophy concerned with the ultimate and overall nature of things as distinct from their appearance. It discusses the nature of being in general as well as concepts related to man, nature, and God.

8. Perspecctive
a.(ATGT)- the vantage point from which one sees or thinks, including attitudes, beliefs, values, and even more explicit presuppositions.

9. Propositional
a.related to propositions purporting to affirm what is true.
i.Propositions are normally stated in sentences.
10. Syllogism
a. (ATGT)- the basic form of deductive reasoning
